♻️ Our Plush Recycling Program

Soft hearts don’t belong in landfills. Here’s how to give your plush a second life.

At Skoggy, we’re doing our best to balance comfort and conscience. Our plushies are made from synthetic materials to ensure softness, washability, and durability — but that also means they don’t biodegrade easily.

That’s why we created the Plush Recycling Program — a way to ensure that even old, damaged, or unwanted plushies don’t end up in a landfill.

🧶 What Plushies Qualify?

We accept:

  • Used or retired Skoggy plushies (any condition)

  • Used or retired non-Skoggy plushies made from any material (must be plush toys)

We do not accept plushies with:

  • Electronic components or batteries

  • Hard plastic cores

🔁 What Happens to the Plush?

Every plush sent through the program is:

  • Carefully disassembled and sorted

  • Cleaned and sterilized

  • Recycled into materials used in insulation, automotive stuffing, pet beds, or even future plush products by other companies

  • Or donated (if still in usable condition) to shelters or children’s programs

Nothing gets thrown away unless it truly has no salvageable parts.

📬 How to Recycle a Plush

  1. Submit a Plush Recycling Request on our Plush Recycling Request form

  2. We’ll send you the shipping or drop-off instructions.

  3. You cover postage if applicable — but you'll be rewarded with:

    • Bonus berries to use as a Skoggy Rewards member for discounts and other redeemables

    • A thank-you note from the Skoggy team

    • That warm fuzzy feeling of doing good for the world

🐻 Why This Matters

Plushies are often made from materials that live in landfills for hundreds of years. By recycling them properly, we:

  • Reduce synthetic waste

  • Extend the lifecycle of every plushie or their materials

  • Make space for new plushies with less guilt

Whether you’re decluttering or saying goodbye to a longtime friend, we’ll make sure their journey continues somewhere meaningful.
