🔁 How to Return or Exchange a Skoggy

A step-by-step guide to making things right — no stress, no judgment.

At Skoggy, we know that sometimes things don’t go as planned. Maybe your plushie wasn’t quite what you expected, maybe you accidentally ordered the wrong one, or maybe your gift recipient had something else in mind. That’s totally okay.

Our return and exchange process is built to be clear, caring, and customer-first — just like our plushies.

📅 What’s the Return Window?

You have 30 days from the delivery date to start a return or exchange for most items. That includes:

  • Unused plushies still in good condition

  • Gifts you’ve received

  • Orders with manufacturing flaws or fulfillment errors

Returns outside that 30-day window may still qualify for Skoggy Care (see below).

📦 Return Eligibility Checklist

To qualify for a refund or exchange, make sure your plush:

  • Is unused and in original condition

  • Has its original packaging and tags (for guaranteed free return shipping)

  • Was purchased directly from Skoggy.com

Items bought through third-party sellers must be returned to the seller directly.

💡 Note: Plushies don’t need to be fluffy! It's okay if they’re still vacuum-sealed or look deflated — that’s part of our shipping process. What matters is that they haven’t been damaged, washed, or altered.

🛠️ How to Start a Return or Exchange

  1. Visit the Start a Return Page
    You'll be asked to enter your order number and the email address used at checkout.

  2. Select the Item(s) You’re Returning
    Choose your reason — whether it’s a mistake, a gift return, or just a change of heart.

  3. Choose Refund or Exchange
    You’ll have the option to request:

    • A full refund (usually back to your original payment method)

    • A store credit (never expires!)

    • A replacement or different plush (if in stock)

  4. Print Your Return Label
    If eligible for free return shipping (e.g., defective or incorrect item), you’ll be emailed a label right away. For other reasons, return shipping may be at your cost unless waived by our team.

  5. Package It Up
    Reuse the original mailer if possible. Include the plush, tags, and any paperwork. Seal it securely.

  6. Drop It Off or Ship It Back
    Use the return shipping instructions provided in your email. We’ll notify you when we receive your return.

💸 When Will I Be Refunded?

  • Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days of receiving your return.

  • Your bank may take an additional 1–3 business days to reflect the credit.

  • If you choose store credit or an exchange, those are issued even faster in most cases.

💳 Can I Exchange Instead of Returning?

Yes! We recommend either:

  • Returning for a refund and placing a new order for what you want, or

  • Requesting a direct exchange during the return process — our team will confirm availability.

🎁 What If I’m Returning a Gift?

No problem! You can request:

  • A store credit in your own name

  • A different plush if you'd prefer something else

  • Or a refund to the original purchaser (if appropriate)

We’ll never contact the gift giver unless you ask us to.

💥 What About Damaged or Defective Items?

We’ll always make it right.

If your order arrived:

  • Torn

  • Stained

  • Missing parts

  • Incorrect

  • Or otherwise flawed

...start a return within 30 days and select “Damaged” or “Incorrect item” during the process. You'll get a free replacement, refund, or store credit, no hassle.

Be sure to include photos when prompted — they help speed things up and improve future quality.

Even after 30 days, we’ve got your back.

Our Skoggy Care program offers protection and exchange options for unexpected wear, defects, or changes of heart. Every order includes 30 days of free Skoggy Care, and you can opt to extend it beyond that for extra peace of mind.

Don't have Skoggy care but want to activate it after your order is delivered? No problem — we’ll offer it to you for 30% of the cost of the product's current store price, effectively discounting your replacement by 70%.
